How do you get to Fundu Moldovei?

Fundu Moldovei is a mountain village located in Suceava County, a short 15 minute drive from Câmpulung Moldovenesc, which is a quaint mountain resort. The nearest large city is Suceava, where there is also an airport. Other airports nearby are in Iași, Bacău (in the Moldavian area) and Cluj (in the Transylvanian area). The maps below show you approximately how long it takes to get to Fundu Moldovei if you are coming from these cities. Of course, there are also trains. If you take the train, you will most likely arrive in Suceava and we will arrange to pick you up from there (with the kind request that you arrive preferably before the wedding day, meaning September 11th at the latest).

There are direct trains to Pojorâta, which is the resort village near Fundu Moldovei (next door to our wedding venue). I recommend downloading the CFR Călători app or buying tickets online at CFR Călători. I have only added the InterRegio and InterCity options below, which are the fast trains.

Car rental

You won't need an SUV for the Câmpulung Moldovenesc/ Fundu Moldovei area, but you might need one if you plan on going up the mountain. If you arrive in Suceava, we will pick you up (with the kind request that you arrive preferably before the wedding day, meaning no later than September 11th). We plan to organize transportation in the area for the wedding day, i.e. September 12th.
